Taylor previously completed a defense of his dissertation, "Structure and Properties of Laser-Fired Sol-Gel Derived Tungsten Oxide Films."
He is the first person to complete the HTML graduate fellow program. It is open to U.S. citizens who have earned a bachelor's degree with a grade-point average of at least 3.5 and are working on a thesis directly related to one of DOE's material technical areas.
A resident of Rio Rancho, N.M., Taylor earned a bachelor's degree in materials engineering from New Mexico Technical University and a master's degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Arizona.
