Bio
Joe McVeigh joined ORNL in March 2021 as a remote operations infrastructure engineer working in plutonium-238 production operations. Previously, he spent more than five years as a specialty mechanical engineer for Y-12.
Joe is a graduate of the Sandia National Laboratory Weapons intern program. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Technological University and a Master of Science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
He is a member of the American Glovebox Society, for which he serves on the board of directors and is a member of the standards development committee.
