Bio
Prior to joining ORNL, Kelly worked for Macawber Engineering of Maryville as Project Coordinator/Mechanical designer. While there, she helped lead the design and manufacture of pneumatic conveyance systems, from initial review of customer specifications through fabrication. She also served as their subject matter expert for the ASME B&PV Code, generating the company’s code calculations. Earlier in her career she worked in the oil and gas industry, where she created P&IDs and isometric drawings for piping layouts.
Kelly earned an Associate Degree in Engineering Graphics from Delta Junior College in Baton Rouge in 1995, and an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Pellissippi State in 2018.
After growing up in Louisiana, Kelly moved “home” to Tennessee in 2006. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She has a daughter, a son, a granddaughter, and two cats. She loves to read and paint, as well as cook up some delicious Cajun food.
