Bio
Kerry is involved in design of new and upgraded mechanical systems at SNS. Primarily the accelerator side. (Ion Source, HVCM systems, Ring and Magnet systems, Beam Instrumentation) Kerry has been employed at SNS for 15 years after leaving a 30 year career at the Fermi Nat. Accelerator Laboratory where he designed dipole and quadrupole magnet systems for CERN. He started his career as a machinist there, working 12 years in the machine shop while attending college for Mechanical Engineering then taking a Mechanical Designer position his remaining time at Fermi.
