Scott Abston is the Operation Support Group Leader of Isotope Processing and Manufacturing Division (IPMD).
Scott comes to ORNL from the Y-12 National Security Complex, where he recently retired after 35 years of company service. During his tenure at Y-12 he served in several management positions with the most recent being Enriched Uranium Operations System Health Manager. In this role his responsibilities included ensuring the 9212 operating facility and processes where available for daily production operation to meet mission deliverables and supporting transition from 9212 to the new Uranium Processing Facility (UPF).
He held other positions in support of 9212 in the chemical processing division, Production Support Manager and Deputy Director for Enriched Uranium Operations. Under his leadership, the organization met or exceeded annual mission milestones.
