Team UT-Battelle members participated in the Five-County “Alzheimer’s Walk” on Sept. 14, 2013 to benefit Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc. As a result of the walk and Team UTB activities that included a “Brawl for Alz” event, an on-line auction and contributions from many ORNL staff, $12,521 was raised to benefit Alzheimer’s research and local families dealing with this disease. This was the highest amount ever raised to date by Team UT-Battelle.
The fundraising total includes a $1,000 corporate donation by UT-Battelle.
Team UT-Battelle members thank Debbie Jenkins and Ann Weaver for their participation in the “Brawl for Alz” event, and to all ORNL Staff who contributed during the events. Debbie and Ann were the top two individual fund raisers for the five-county campaign.
Team UT-Battelle won the first-place corporate award for the 7th consecutive year.
