Cary 5000 UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer

FHN UV-Vis spectrophotometer

The Cary 5000 spectrophotometer enables measurements of optical properties in UV-Vis and NIR for broad range of materials, including turbid suspensions and highly scattering samples including biological specimens (DNA, proteins, enzymes), photoresists, catalysts, oil shale, and solar cells.

Special attachments allow spectro-electrochemical/electrocatalytic measurements (e.g. reduction of CO2), thin film/anti-reflection, detection of heavy metals in water, nanomaterials and nanocomposite materials, color measurements, and in situ polymerization reactions.
