SCALE 6.3

How to Cite SCALE 6.3 Learning Modules

To assist users in citing the SCALE 6.3 Learning Modules, the following guidance is being provided below:

  1. Call out a specific module or section in the text by reference number or in author–date format,
  2. Name the website owner as the author,
  3. Include “n.d.” as the date,
  4. Place the module or section name in quotation marks,
  5. Add the name of the website,
  6. Add the date the author accessed the site, and
  7. Include a link to the module or section cited (or in the case of a linked PDF, the landing page with the links for all the modules or sections).

For example, to cite the CADIS module, the callout in the text could be written as (Oak Ridge National Laboratory, n.d.) or called out numerically, and the citation in the reference list could be formatted like this:

Oak Ridge National Laboratory. n.d. “CADIS: Consistent Adjoint Driven Importance Sampling.” SCALE 6.3. Accessed June 19, 2024. https://www.ornl.gov/content/scale-63.
