Anne Campbell, a research associate in ORNL’s Materials Science and Technology Division, has been selected as a topical editor for a special issue of the journal Frontiers in Nuclear Engineering, titled “Women in Nuclear Engineering Research.” Research topics within the scope of the issue include advanced nuclear reactor design, nuclear fuel cycles, materials science, heat transfer, radiation detection and nuclear codes and standards.
Campbell’s ORNL research focuses on radiation effects in materials for advanced nuclear applications. The issue she will edit aims to showcase the high-quality research of women across the breadth of the nuclear engineering field by presenting advances in theory, experiment and methodology, with applications to compelling problems. – Dawn Levy
