The Isotope & Fuel Cycle Technology Division's Glenn Fugate has been recognized as a fellow by the American Chemical Society. The ACS Fellows Program started in December 2008 to recognize members of the ACS for outstanding achievements in and contributions to science, the profession and the society.

Fugate's research spans more than 25 years and centers around analytical chemistry, separations chemistry and radiochemistry. In addition to his work at ORNL, he also is an adjunct faculty member at Clemson University and the University of Missouri.

ORNL is managed by UT-Battelle for the Department of Energy's Office of Science, the single largest supporter of basic research in the physical sciences in the United States. DOE’s Office of Science is working to address some of the most pressing challenges of our time. For more information, please visit http://energy.gov/science.
