Climate change will cause human population shifts, change the topology of built infrastructures, and change the locations of energy supply and demand. Thus, Infrastructures will evolve to accommodate new load centers while some parts of the network are abandoned, and these changes will drive regional convergence and create emerging vulnerabilities that will require integrated approaches and high-resolution data for local decision makers. Combining social theory and agent based modeling, we examine population responses to extreme cyclonic events, resulting net population changes and consequent new regional patterns in electricity demand.
