Kagome metal rattles its chains

Topic:

The origin of the charge density wave in a kagome metal was linked to the rattling motion of atom chains by controlling its associated structural distortion through chemical and physical tuning.

Understanding the origin of ubiquitous charge density waves in kagome metals enables rational tuning of their ground states and unusual electronic and magnetic properties.
