Nuclear Operations Technician

I started in 2013, as a subcontractor Building 2026. We were responsible for the removal of all waste from the facility, including in the hot cells. All areas were deconned, and the facility was turned over to another customer when work was completed. I was then sent to Building 3047 to clean out hot cells and gloveboxes to prepare for a readiness assessment for new isotope R&D. In November of 2015, I was hired by UT- Battelle to be a Nuclear Operations Technician. In 2016, I was part of a team that received an award for Mission Support for work done for the start of processing Ra-226 into Ac-227. I helped clean out all the gloveboxes in Building 5505 for removal and disposal. I have completed my supervisor qualifications to help better serve the facility here at 3047.
