Section Head, Nuclear Facility Asset Management

I joined ORNL in November 2020 as the nuclear facility asset management group lead.  In 2021, I led a cross-department radioisotope manufacturing assessment for ISED's COO and ALD to assess movement from R&D to production of radioisotopes.  In 2022, I stood up a new section and am now the section head for Asset Management, building out and implementing strategies for increased equipment reliability.  My previous jobs include SpaceX Cape Canaveral facilities manager, reliability project engineer at General Electric, maintenance and reliability consultant to Chevron and Marathon Oil, maintenance and brewing manager at Anheuser-Busch, and a submarine naval nuclear power propulsion supervisor.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management and a Master of Business Administration degree in Engineering Management. I am a Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt and a Certified Facility Manager (CFM).  Interesting Career Facts: I have been to the bottom of the ocean at 3,000ft in a nuclear powered deep submersible, with a crew that discovered the NR-1 Brine Pool and chemosynthetic life forms in the Gulf of Mexico.  I was also part of 86 orbital rocket launches, including manned spaceflight to the ISS.
