Chris Clotfelter

Bio

Chris is the Technical Project Lead for the High-Performance Computing (HPC) Clusters Group in the HPC Systems Section. In this role he provides project management and control to HPC Clusters projects, including hardware and software upgrades, new cluster stand up, and other initiatives.

Chris began his career with the United States Navy, where he served in various capacities including enlisted linguist, cryptologic officer, and in the latter half of his career as an engineering duty officer, where he lead multiple technical projects and programs. He retired from the Navy after 24 years of service in late 2020. Prior to joining ORNL, Chris was the Network Operations Manager at the Y-12 National Security Complex.
