Bio
Daniel Sims joined the NIDC in December 2023, where he oversees the management of reactor-produced isotopes and provides technical support in isotope production, processing, and distribution.
With over 14 years of experience in the radiation protection field, Daniel previously served as General Manager and Radiation Safety Officer at a radioactive source manufacturing company. In these roles, he was responsible for the day-to-day activities of the company and maintaining State and NRC radioactive material licenses. He also worked as a radioactive material inspector for the State of Tennessee, leading inspections at industrial and medical facilities across East Tennessee.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, with a concentration in Health Physics, from Francis Marion University located in South Carolina.
