Bio
Daniel is a Network Engineer for the High-Performance Computing Infrastructure and Networking Group and is the networking team lead. He is currently involved with several network upgrades bringing more 100 Gigabit Ethernet connections to the center. Daniel has been at ORNL since 2009 and has been in networking since 1995.
Daniel started in small Internet Service Providers and over time acquired many companies and integrated them into his companies network. This led him to ISP that covered the whole nation and included many data centers, and around a thousand points of presence across the country. He is responsible for day to day operations, capacity planning, monitoring, designing and building the High Performance Computing Network.
