Bio
Hyon Ko is the Group Leader for Manufacturing in the Neutron Technologies Division of Neutron Sciences Directorate. He and his team are responsible for the manufacture of key target system components such as mercury targets, proton beam windows, and inner reflective plugs. His role also supports the broader internal and external fabrication needs across the Neutron Sciences Directorate.
Prior to joining ORNL, Hyon worked in the petrochemical industry for sixteen years throughout the Texas gulf coast and also supported new plant constructions in Saudi Arabia. His professional experiences includes more than ten (10) years of direct leadership with positions held from plant manager to technical engineering lead.
