Bio
An experimental physicist in the Quantum Information Science section at ORNL. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Rochester (2016) studying high speed optoelectronics. Afterwards, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Rochester Institute of Technology as an Intelligence Community Postdoctoral Research Fellow studying integrated quantum photonic devices. As a research fellow he performed top-to-bottom research in integrated photonics including simulation and design to fabricating and testing. He has experience in microelectronics packaging and working with multiple material platforms including silicon and nitride-based materials. Current research topics include leveraging silicon photonics for secure communications and quantum information processing.
