Bio
Justin Beal received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee in 2019. He joined ORNL in July 2010 as a technical intern in the Detector Group before being hired as a Detector Technician focusing on helium-3 based detector technologies, in March 2011. He became a Detector Systems Electrical Engineer within the Detector Group in July 2019. In this role, he continues his work with the helium-3 detector systems while also performing R&D contributions in scintillating detector technologies.
