Kaleb C Burrage

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Kaleb is a member of the Neutron Technologies Division, serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate for the Neutron Optics and Polarization Group.

Prior to joining ORNL, he spent 4 years in graduate school at the University of Alabama-Birmingham conducting research into high pressure and high temperature phases of transition metals, transition metal borides, and high entropy borides using x-ray diffraction techniques.  Many works were in collaboration with national laboratories such as Argonne and Los Alamos and also facilitated a two-year internship in shock and detonation physics at Sandia National Labs.

Kaleb earned both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Georgia.
