Lu Yu is currently a postdoc research associate in the Emerging and Solid-State Batteries Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Her research focuses on developing sustainable and efficient processes for lithium-ion battery recycling to advance the battery technologies, while simultaneously minimizing costs and reducing environmental impacts. Dr. Yu received her B.E. degree in Thermal Energy and Power Engineering and M.E. degree in Power Engineering from North China Electric Power University in 2013 and 2016, and Ph.D. degree in Material Science and Engineering with a minor in Computational Science from University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2022. Her previous research experiences involved biomass-derived materials for electrochemical energy storage and polymer solar cells.
