Madison Armstrong coordinates and leads internal audit engagements for the Internal Audit Directorate, which serves ORNL by providing impactful, risk-based assurance services. Armstrong has a passion for risk management and strives to enhance ORNL's risk understanding and operational effectiveness. Prior to joining ORNL, Armstrong worked for six years as an accountant and Internal Auditor for a multibillion-dollar transportation company in Atlanta, GA.
Armstrong holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, from which she also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Armstrong is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, and Certified in Risk Management Assurance.
Armstrong enjoys reading and traveling and in 2023 she completed her goal of visiting all 50 states, concluding her adventures with a cruise around Hawaii.
