Bio
Melissa Richards is the inaugural Administrative Services Manager for the Neutron Sciences Directorate (NScD) and the Neutron Upgrades Project Office (NUPO). Melissa brings over a decade of ORNL administrative expertise to strategically align NScD's capabilities with mission objectives. Her journey began in 2013 as an administrative assistant in NScD, evolving to Division Administrative Assistant in 2015 with the Computational Sciences and Engineering Division (CSED) in the Computing and Computational Sciences Directorate (CCSD).
CSED is where she developed her love for mentoring other administrative assistants, advocating for them, and helping them grow and develop in their careers. Prior to ORNL, Melissa spent 12 years in the telecommunications industry.
