Michaela Bluedorn is a digital communications specialist in the ORNL Communications and Community Engagement Directorate, supporting the Biological and Environmental Systems Science Directorate (BESSD).
As a writer, communicator, and content creator, she applies her expertise in digital media to create compelling communications about complex science and technology topics and elevate ORNL’s groundbreaking research to external audiences. Her proficiencies include social media, photography and videography, graphic design, website management, and written communications products, including video scripts, newsletters, feature stories, and researcher profiles.
Prior joining ORNL in July 2023, Michaela supported communications in the nuclear sector, guiding digital creative to build virtual communities and promote local brand awareness. She graduated from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing.
