Nuclear Materials Specialist focuses on the procurement of materials and services for the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR), including but not limited to reactor materials, procurement, sourcing, material take-offs, expediting, receiving/handling, receiving inspection, counterfeit parts identification, non-conformance generation and resolution, and return shipments. Responsible for procuring routine and critical parts and services for the safe and reliable operation of the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR). Determine and advise on correct procurement methods for the Nuclear Materials Group in the Research Reactors Division, Neutron Sciences Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Maintain a strong commitment to the implementation of values and ethics.
Manages Nuclear Material inventory for the HFIR and Cold Source Operations including the PM, Shelf Life and Restock Programs. Hazardous Materials Management Program (HMMIS) Division representative for the Research Reactor Division (RRD).
