Maintenance Implementation Lead

As the Maintenance Implementation Group Leader of the ORNL Research Reactors Division, Norman Woody is responsible for providing support and leadership for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of The High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR). The Group leader supervises the HFIR Craft Supervisors and RRD personnel providing leadership, direction, and support as needed for developing and maintaining a world class level of performance in maintenance work activities.

Mr. Woody joined ORNL in January 1990 working for the Plant & Equipment Division (now F&O Directorate) . Mr. Woody transferred to the Melton Valley Complex which included working at HFIR and REDC in the fall of 1999. He became Maintenance Supervisor and Group leader for the Research Reactor Division in 2009. Mr. Woody has over 33 years Nuclear Maintenance experience at Oak Ridge National Laboratory with 23 years at the High Flux Isotope Reactor.
