Tonia L McPeters

Executive Assistant for the US ITER Project

Tonia McPeters has over 30 years of experience as an administrative professional. She joined the US ITER Project as the Executive Assistant (EA) in 2006. While holding this position, she held the dual role of EA for the Fusion and Fission Energy and Science Directorate. Prior to this, she served as the division secretary for the Nonreactor Nuclear Facilities Division and provided support to the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Program. Before coming to Oak Ridge National Laboratory, she served at K-25 site in the Operations Division and, as assistant to the Chief of the Protective Force, as well as providing support to the Process and Long-Range Technical Support group. 

McPeters holds a Certified Administrative Professional ranking with a specialty in Office Management from the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). She was named the Tennessee Division Secretary of the Year by IAAP in 1999. McPeters began her affiliation with the organization in 1992 and served as President of the Oak Ridge Chapter in 1999. She has held all offices in the local chapter with the exception of Treasurer and was selected as Member of the Year for the Oak Ridge Chapter in 1997.
