Bio
Zach Bacon is a Thermal Hydraulics Nuclear Engineer in the Reactor Analysis and Modeling team under the Nuclear Safety and Experiment Analysis group in Research Reactors Division. He joined ORNL in August, 2020 and is supporting safe operation of the HFIR through thermal hydraulic and reactor modeling and analysis. Prior to joining ORNL, he spent 15 years working at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. He has experience in developing and validating models using 1-D system analysis codes and analysis processes automation.
