Scienta-Omicron NanoProbe System

Scienta-Omicron NanoProbe System

STM scienta omicron 4 probe

Installed in 2018, the state-of-the-art 4-probe STM system is dedicated to the determination of electronic transport properties in a variety of systems at scales ranging from several micrometers down to single-atom level. The atomic resolution of each of the four probes allows both STM and transport measurements to establish correlation of transport properties with atomic structurers and density of states. Equipped with spin-sensitive probes, the system is the only spin-polarized 4-probe STM in the world for spin-polarized transport experiment. It combines spin-polarized STM with four-probe transport measurements with probes navigated by SEM in the same UHV platform.
