Congratulations to Roderick Davidson, who successfully defended his thesis entitled “Nonlinear Near-Field Dynamics of Nanophotonic Heterostructures” at Vanderbilt University on October 24th, 2016. The final two years of his PhD research were performed in the Quantum Information Science group, culminating in the observation of Rabi oscillations in NV centers driven by an electron beam in a scanning transmission electron microscope. He will begin his NRC postdoctoral fellowship at the Naval Research Laboratory on November 7th, 2016.
