Jordan Hachtel
Jordan Hachtel, a research scientist at ORNL’s Center for Nanophase Materials, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Microanalysis Society. The professional society brings together international members from broad scientific disciplines to advance knowledge of the principles, instrumentation and application of microanalysis.
He will serve a three-year term on the executive council.
Hachtel received a doctorate in Physics from Vanderbilt University and joined ORNL as staff in 2019. He specializes in the use of scanning transmission electron microscopy to study the behavior of structures and materials at the nanoscale. – Ashley Huff
