The organization promotes the management, preservation and research of wildlife resources. As a board member, Halford will be involved in developing policies for wildlife management, ecology and land use issues for the state of Colorado, as well as for the national chapter.
Halford is a group leader in the Life Sciences Division in the Environmental Technology Section located in Grand Junction, Colo.
He received a bachelor's degree in wildlife biology and a master's in both pathology and radioecology, all from Colorado State University.
Halford lives in Grand Junction with his wife, Jean, and son, Robert. His daughter, Deanna, is a sophomore at the University of Colorado.
ORNL, one of DOE's multiprogram national research and development facilities, is managed by Lockheed Martin Energy Research Corporation.
