OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Dec. 22, 2016 – J. Bryan Lyles, a researcher at the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory, has been recognized by two professional societies for his achievements in computational science.
Lyles, who works in the Computational Sciences & Engineering Division's Cyber & Information Security Research group, has been elevated to the rank of fellow by the IEEE Board of Directors "for contributions in local network technology, Internet measurement, and research cyberinfrastructure." His fellowship is effective January 1.
Lyles has also been named a fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery, an educational and scientific computing society, which cited him "for contributions to Internet infrastructure technology, measurement and research."
