ORNL's Qualls appointed to energy policy council

OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Oct. 23, 2018 – Lou Qualls, reactor technology integration lead at the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory, has been named the energy research and development industry’s representative on the Tennessee Energy Policy Council. Speaker of the Tennessee House of Representatives Beth Harwell appointed Harwell to the position, with his term running now through June 30, 2019.

Qualls works in ORNL's Reactor and Nuclear Systems Division and is DOE's national technical director for molten salt reactors.

ORNL is managed by UT-Battelle for the Department of Energy's Office of Science, the single largest supporter of basic research in the physical sciences in the United States.
