State automotive manufacturers honor ORNL's Graves

OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Oct.  28, 2015 – The Tennessee Automotive Manufacturers Association (TAMA) has inducted Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Ron Graves into its Hall of Fame. TAMA honored Graves for his leadership of the Department of Energy laboratory's Sustainable Transportation Program.

"His work affects millions of vehicles that are on the road today," TAMA's citation noted. The Sustainable Transportation Program comprises research in advanced engines, fuels and lubricants, emissions controls, energy storage, fuel cell technologies, lightweight and powertrain materials, power electronics, transportation analysis, and vehicle systems.

Graves was inducted along with former Gov. Phil Bredesen at the state industry group's October 20 ceremony in Nashville.
