Erin M Rose named '40 Under 40'

Erin Rose a social scientist in the Environmental Sciences Division's Sustainable Systems and Social Sciences group, was listed as a '40 Under 40' leader by the Greater Knoxville Business Journal.

Erin is co-founder and vice president of social equity for ThreeCubed, a scientific research and educational nonprofit dedicated to funding and implementing programs that improve social outcomes for vulnerable populations across the country.  

Erin was involved in the DOE's Weatherization Assistance Program while earning her master's degree in social work at the University of Tennessee. She joined ORNL in 2010 to develop a survey to assess health and other non-energy-related benefits families experienced since receiving energy efficiency upgrades to their homes.

Erin used her experience at the Lab to co-found ThreeCubed, where she works to promote equitable and sustainable futures for low-income families in sub-standard housing. She also continues her work with ESD's Society-Technology Interactions team.
