Jager named fellow of the American Fisheries Society

Henriette “Yetta” Jager, senior scientist in the Environmental Sciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, has been named a fellow of the American Fisheries Society, which cited her years of service to the society and the fisheries profession.

Jager conducts research at the intersection of energy and ecology, modeling and monetizing trade-offs and complementarities among ecosystem services such as renewable energy, species habitat, water quality and carbon sequestration. Her research topics encompass multiple areas, including conservation biology and understanding how climate change and shifts in renewable electricity portfolios affect fish populations.

Jager holds a joint faculty position in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and was elected a fellow of AAAS in 2019.
