Abstract
A component was designed and manufactured in two configurations through a wire arc additive process. The first configuration was an open channel, while the second contained a dynamic absorber in the internal cavity. Dynamic measurements of the two components demonstrated the ability to print internal features which, when designed appropriately, can be used to increase the dynamic stiffness of structures.
