Analysis and Feature Detection in Large Volumes of Diffuse X-ray and Neutron Scattering from Complex Materials

Diffuse scattering contains information about disorder in materials which is critical to understand function. Instrument advances move field from 2D images to 3D volumes of measured scattering, and beyond in case of parametric studies. Advances needed in measurement -> knowledge. We are trying a completely novel approach for the field which can be extended to other areas, e.g. inelastic neutron scattering.
