A Direct Reactor Auxiliary Cooling System (DRACS) has been proposed for an Advanced-High
Temperature Reactor (AHTR) that uses fluoride salt as the coolant. A study is being carried out to test its performance and provide experimental data for model validation. A detailed scaling analysis has been performed for the DRACS, as reported in a companion paper [1], in which a scaling methodology is developed. In this paper, scaling results for a protoltypic DRACS design are
presented to design a scaled-down DRACs test facility.
