Abstract
Our journal has gone through a number of significant changes during the last twelve months.
Sadly we learnt of the passing of one of our distinguished board members Prof. Hitoshi
Ohtaki. In 2004 two special issues (June/July) were dedicated to honor his scientific career
(Professor Yamaguchi was the originator of this tribute and also served as guest editor). We
will miss his active participation in guiding the future of the Journal of Solution Chemistry.
