Compared to the previous mainstream performed at high temperatures, we here present a room-temperature preparation of three-dimensional PbS nanoflowers, which was attributed to the coexistence of two types of amines with different-length alkyl chains and different steric hindrance. Through elevating reaction temperature and prolonging growth time, these as-prepared PbS nanoflowers could evolve into hollow nanostructures with different shapes (sphere, cuboctahedron, cube, and tube/rod). It was accompanied by the reasonable explanation of these experimental observations.
