Abstract
A prototype detector based on the inclined boron
layer principle is introduced. For typical measurement conditions
at the Liquids Reflectometer at the Spallation Neutron Source, its
count rate capability is shown to be superior to that of the current
detector by nearly two orders of magnitude.
