Research Interest:

Dr. Moreo, Ph.D. Instituto Balseiro, Argentina, 1985, is a Professor at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and she has a joint position at ORNL. Until joining ORNL in 2004 she was a professor at Florida State University. Prof. Moreo's research interests are centered on the understanding of strongly correlated electronic systems, in particular, high Tc superconductors, manganites and other transition metal oxides. Most of her research involve large scale numerical calculations performed on supercomputers and large clusters of work stations. She has been a Member-at-Large of the Executive Committee of the Division of Computational Physics of the American Physical Society (APS) and she's currently a member of the Nominating Committee of the division. Prof. Moreo is a fellow of the American Physical Society, and has won the Developing Scholar Award at Florida State University.
