Ahmad M Ibrahim

Senior Neutronics Scientist

Ahmad Ibrahim is a Senior Neutronics Scientist for the Instrument Development and Neutronics Group. 

Prior to joining ORNL, Ahmad was a Senior Physicist at Mirion Technologies and a Senior Nuclear Engineer in the accelerator division of SHINE Technologies. Ahmad was previously a staff member in the Nuclear Energy and Fuel Cycle Division at ORNL. During his previous time at ORNL, Ahmad developed high-fidelity radiation transport methods and tools specifically for the design simulations of geometrically complex accelerator systems and nuclear reactors.

Ahmad obtained both his MS (2010) and his PhD (2012) degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ahmad enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, white water rafting, and skiing.
