Aleisa Bloom has more than thirty-two years’ experience at the Oak Ridge Reservation executing and managing Department of Defense environmental and energy projects, serving for 10 years at K-25, 4 years at Y-12 and 18 years at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.  While at ORNL Aleisa has served as the Principal Investigator and Group Leader for a DoD portfolio of more than $100M for the United States Air Force and Army.  Aleisa’s leadership in program planning, project initiation, and execution is exemplified by her diverse portfolio of more than $200M across all the Oak Ridge Reservation facilities of K-25, Y-12 and ORNL. 

 

In October 2019, Aleisa was matrixed to the National Security Sciences Directorate supporting the Cyber Intelligence Resilience Division and the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility (MDF).  Currently, Aleisa is a full time Senior Program Manager at MDF where she manages and develops defense manufacturing research and development programs.  In this role, she interacts with DoD sponsors, MDF researchers, and DOE site office to prepare proposals, develop program/project execution plans, and manage cost/schedule/execution while identifying additive manufacturing research and technology opportunities.  Since coming to the MDF in March of 2020, she has been part of the team that prepared over $125M of new work scope and received $29M of funded work. 

 

Prior to coming to Oak Ridge, Aleisa worked as a reliability engineer for Raytheon Missile Systems Division and a quality reliability engineer at the Clinch River Breeder Reactor. 

 

Aleisa holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Science and Technology from East Tennessee State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Tennessee Tech University. 

 

Aleisa and her husband, Gary live in Farragut, Tennessee and have a daughter and son, Ashley and Garrett.
