Bio
Dr Ali Abouimrane is a Senior Scientist at ORNL with over 23 years’ experience in lithium batteries, advanced materials, and electrochemical energy devices. Dr. Ali Abouimrane published more than 75 peer-reviewed scientific journal papers, 15 granted patents and around 10 patent applications in the areas of Materials, Energy Storage and Nanotechnology. Dr. Abouimrane received numerous awards, including best NRC-Canada employee award and R&D 100 award.
Professional Experience
Before joining ORNL, Dr. Ali Abouimrane was Sparkz inc. VP of Technology from 2021 to 2022. Before joining Sparkz inc, Dr. Abouimrane was a Principal Scientist at Qatar Foundation from 2015 to 2020 and a Materials Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory from 2008 to 2015.
