Allen W Smith

Bio

Allen W. Smith is interim director for the Isotope Science and Energy Directorate's Nonreactor Nuclear Facilities Division. He previously was section head for NNFD's Nuclear Facility Management Section, which is responsible for maintaining and updating the nonreactor facilities to support the lab's diverse research and development mission.

Allen joined ORNL in 2004, after thirteen years at Y-12, and initially worked in the Radiochemical Engineering Development Center, ultimately serving as REDC facility manager. He has more than 30 years of experience in nuclear testing, engineering, operations and management.
