Amy Reed is a writer and communications specialist with the US ITER Project Office at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.  She has been a part of the ORNL communications team since 2015.  Her past work experience includes two decades as a writer and editor in the energy industry.  In the early years of her career, she was a journalist for magazines such as Popular Science, Australian Geographic, Best of Business, and Good Housekeeping Australia.  She has a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Tennessee, where she received the Chancellor’s Citation for Academic Excellence, the Willis C. Tucker Award for excellence in writing, and the Scripps Howard Ernie Pyle Award.
